.....🦗🦗🦗.....
Yep, pretty much. But we've made it to day 11 and haven't gone crazy yet! We're still alive!!
If
you've wondered what a missionary does in social isolation, we have
too! Haha I'm only half kidding. ;) Everyday without fail, we do:
personal study, companion study, language study, outside time, meal
time, journaling, and calling/texting/Facebook posts. In addition, we:
write letters, clean the apartment, work on gospel art projects, do
additional companion study, weekly plan, plan service ideas, etc. If you
have any ideas that you want to run by me please do! Especially when it
comes to finding people to teach! :)
So that's
what my week has basically looked like. All week. I became pretty sick
this week (starting around Wednesday), but I'm starting to recover now. I
mostly just have a cough left! :) Yay!! Finding and teaching people has
become much more challenging, which can be super hard. I really miss
going out and teaching and testifying. I can do so here at home via
technology, but it is more limited in who we can talk to and dependent
on whether they respond back.
HOWEVER that all
being said... I am still called to the work!! I am still a witness to
testify of Christ and His Restored Gospel! I still find just as much JOY
in His church and sharing that with others. :) I know that "the
standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work
from progressing. Persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may
assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth BOLDLY,
NOBLY, AND INDEPENDENT till it has penetrated every continent, visited
every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the
purposes of God shall be accomplished and the Great Jehovah shall say
the work is done" (Joseph Smith, 1842). This will pass and the work will
move forward! God is in complete control and knows everything. Though
this time may not have been part of my mission plan, it was always part
of His. I really do know it will be okay!! We can find joy in serving
others and doing the little things. 😊 What an opportunity we have
here!! All of us!! HOW EXCITING!!!
Can I ask
you all a favor?? As missionaries, we can only do so much, especially on
Facebook. The same few people see our posts and we want the circle to
widen. If I, or another missionary, posts something that is particularly
touching, can I invite you to share that post? Or write one of your own
and comment in the missionary's post that you posted because you were
inspired by theirs? That will not only boost the missionary's
enthusiasm, but it will spread God's love a little wider around the
world. :) We can do much good at our fingertips. Give a little help to
us missionaries and we can bless lives together. 💙
I
know ya'll are also probably under some sort of stay-at-home policy or
whatever, and I hope you are doing well! I miss you lots and I think
about you often! :) Keep being an example to those you are around! Be
the rock in this time. You're awesome. ;) AND WATCH GENERAL CONFERENCE
THIS WEEKEND!!! I'm so excited!!!! 😆❤️ It's going to be SOOOOO
fantastic!!!!! Highlight of my month, transfer, and even year! Yay!!!!!
Watch it at: churchofjesuschrist.org! Love you all lots! Stay safe! Like my FB posts! ;)
