Howdy howdy everyone! I got some exciting news! Today was transfers, and boy is it crazy! I am being transferred to Encinitas CA, which is top north along the coast. It is sweet, because it is in the mountains (kinda), the area is very nice, and although there's only a small spanish branch here, I am excited to meet them.
My new companion is Elder Poulson, and he's from Colorado. But the craziest thing is: our apartment. It isn't even that clean or big, but check this out: we got a car (Toyota carolla), a garage FOR the car (no more parking troubles), we have our own washer and drier, we have a massage chair (SWEET), A stocked pantry and fridge, and best of all, it's a QUAD apartment! Elders Wren and Norris are going to be with us. So I am super hyped for this transfer.
For a small spiritual thought, I was reading some of Paul's epistles to the saints, and I loved 1st Corinthians 3:16 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" It also references the same in 1st Corinthians 6:19. And I know that it can be easy to forget that. It can honestly be really hard to take good care of yourself. Exercising, eating HEALTHY, keeping your brain sharp, and abstaining from harmful things can be REALLY hard sometimes, even exhausting. Sometimes it doesn't feel worth it to keep it up. But I know that of you do, your future self will thank you. If you can get past the current cravings or feelings of laziness, it will so be worth it. That's called discipline. And self-mastery is very rewarding and fulfilling. So keep at it!
See all of you next week. Bye!
