Hello everyone!!
What a WEEK!! So much
happened that was so wonderful! :) AHHH it was a great week. We had a
trainer-trainee meeting where all those who are being trained meet with their
trainers and talk about how it's going. This meant I got to see all my MTC
sisters again!! 😊❤ President Hammon focused a lot on
being exactly obedient and so I've been trying to do that each day! I felt
super supported, inspired, and pumped for the upcoming weeks. It was a really
amazing meeting.
WE HAD AN ULTIMATE
MISSION MIRACLE this week!!! We got a referral from online about Joshua, who
requested a Book of Mormon. Long story short, we went over and gave him the
copy and he told us about how excited he was to read it! He'd been reading it
on an app and said he loved what he read; it only makes sense that Christ would
visit all His children and that they would write about Him as well! Joshua said
he wants to know everything Christ did. He said when he reads the Book of
Mormon he feels this feeling of sincerity and peace; it's like he has a
testimony before reading all of it!! We showed him Moroni's challenge to those
who read the Book of Mormon to ask God if it's true. Joshua said, "Isn't
that how we learn of all truth? Through asking God?" I testify that what
Joshua said is right! We have to try and ask. That is how we know. Those who
never try never know. Those who never ask never know. Joshua shows great faith
in wanting to know all he can about Jesus Christ. He knows that he will know of
truth through asking, and he's already seeing blessings and testimony come as
he reads the Book of Mormon- the word of God. I admire his faith!! I am so
blessed to get to know him! God is so proud of Joshua!! 😊 He is a
miracle to me!!
Like I said before,
I've strived to be exactly obedient. In everything. And I have ALREADY seen so
many blessings! Friday our night went poorly and we didn't have much success.
Walking home I thought, "you should be feeling pretty discouraged right
now!" But then immediately I realized "I'm not! I'm actually
joyful!" Even though it seems I had no reason to be joyful in that moment,
that was God's promise to me. Exact obedience=joy in any circumstance. God is
so good to me. ❤
And even when it's uncomfortable or inconvenient, I feel satisfied when I obey
exactly, knowing I was where God wanted me to be. We all have that
assurance.
General Conference
this weekend, where we get to listen to the prophet of God, was amazing! I love
and sustain President Nelson; I know he is called of God. He gives us
direction and guidance in this world and we WILL be safe as we follow him! This
week's title comes from my zone leader when we were thanking those who provided
lunch between conference sessions. Hahaha... totally something I would say! 😂
We are continuing to
work with Harminder, Jackie, and Cole. Harminder is doing what we invite
him to do but is doing it for us- not for himself. Conversion is a personal
process that needs to come from the heart. We are trying to continue to help
him understand that. Jackie met with us last night and her husband joined in
our discussion! It was great for him to be involved; Jackie needs his support.
We talked about how the family unit is being attacked and how prophets can help
us navigate through those attacks. Cole also met with us last night and we
talked about the purpose of baptism, 2 Nephi 9, and Alma 32. It's all about
faith, repentance, and making covenants with the Lord! ❤
I hope you all had a
wonderful week and I encourage you to put Christ in the center of your lives!
He loves you so so much and His way is the only way. Miss you!!!
With love and
happiness,
Sister Mary Goss
