Wow that's crazy... I
have so far to go haha! BUT this is the last week of the transfer so that's
exciting! 😊
This week went by
super fast; I feel like I just wrote my last email. So this email is a little
shorter than normal. On Thursday we had zone conference and Elder Bowen of the
Seventy came!! I was so so inspired; I'm not sure if the mission has anything
to do with it, but all of a sudden every time I get to learn more about the
gospel it touches me deeply. Everytime! Church was amazing. Scripture study is
awesome. Conferences are inspiring. I'm so excited that I have a lifetime of
learning ahead of me! Yayyyy!! Treat every opportunity with gratitude and
excitement; every opportunity can be something truly great. ❤
We continued to teach
people this week! Harminder had a great lesson about prophets and the Book of
Mormon today. We taught Cole about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We found several
new potentials too, so I'll keep you updated! I do have some sad news: Joshua
texted us earlier this week in response to our text saying "no thank you,
I've decided to embrace Islam. Thank you for your time." I'm glad he can
find some religion in his life, but I am saddened he didn't take the chance to
learn more about Jesus Christ. I know someday he will have that chance again
and I wish him the best! I respect the agency of others; that is key for our
growth. But I am sad.
I have some good
news! Sister Miles and I won cleanest car in our zone haha! 🚗💦
I also read Mosiah 2 and I've forgotten how much I love that chapter. If you
want to be spiritually fed for a quick second, here are my favorite verses:
I say
unto you that if ye should serve him who has created you from the beginning,
and is preserving you from day to day, by lending you breath, that ye may live
and move and do according to your own will, and even supporting you from one
moment to another—I say, if ye should serve him with all your whole souls yet
ye would be unprofitable servants. And behold, all that he requires of you is
to keep his commandments; and he has promised you that if ye would keep his
commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that
which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you
and prosper you. And now, in the first place, he hath created you, and granted
unto you your lives, for which ye are indebted unto him. And secondly, he doth
require that ye should do as he hath commanded you; for which if ye do, he doth
immediately bless you; and therefore he hath paid you. And ye are still
indebted unto him, and are, and will be, forever and ever; therefore, of what
have ye to boast?
I am so grateful for
His patience with us and His love for us! Anyway, keep on keepin' on! Love you
lots!!
Love,
Sister Mary Goss
