Happy (late) Halloween everyone!!!! Hope you all
had a wonderful time and stayed safe! :)
Boy do I have some things to tell y'all! Sister
Weston's birthday was Wednesday and it was a blast! We ate poke where I had
octopus for the first time (it was actually super good haha!! Once I could tell
my mind to calm down and just eat it like a normal human being...), we had a
ping-pong tournament at bishop's storehouse (guess who won yep you got it it
was me), and met her sister from the Mission Viejo area! :) Such a fun time!!
We also celebrated Halloween as a zone on Saturday night where we had a murder
mystery dinner and it was a BLAST. The zone leaders put it together and my
character was a lawyer named Veronica. It involved trials and such and I was
either the prosecutor or defense attorney everytime haha! It took me back to
highschool where I took debate and had to participate in several graded
trials/debates... Yikes. Good times. :) It was SO FUN and don't worry - we
found out who did it. 10/10 zone halloween activity!! :D
Yes, transfers have come again and I am staying
here in Murrieta for my third transfer! Sweet Sister Weston is moving up to
Riverside (<3), so my new companion is Sister Henriod. She is brand new out
of training and was called to be my STL companion. She's awesome and is going
to do so well! :) The other companionship I live with became a trio, so our
apartment has become a 5-man!! Woohoo!
None of them have been out longer than 3 transfers, so it'll be really weird to
be "so old" compared to all of them. Luckily I can still relate with
the other members of my zone and find some connection with them haha! ;)
Last but not least, our shopping trip today was
quite the adventure! We as a 5-man decided to buy basically everything together
and it was such a big order, the machines kept breaking haha.... whooooops...
Also fun fact you can't split a Walmart order between more than 4 cards! Just
fyi. ;) We only had to scan everything we bought three times on three different
registers. ;) AND coming home, on the ramp to the freeway, the cars in front of
me (I was the driver) slammed on the breaks. I slammed on the breaks in time to
not hit the car in front of me, but the car behind us did not. So we pulled
over as well as we could on the on-ramp and called our mission vehicle
coordinator, filled out the accident report, etc. Don't worry! Nothing major
happened, surprisingly! It felt like a big hit but only our bumper is scraped!
Yay! :) The poor guy that hit us was so sad; he already had a ton of stuff on
his plate and he's in our prayers. Because the damage was so minor, I'm sure it
won't impact him insurance-wise. His car was fine. And all 6 of us were totally
safe and healthy. :) So no problemo! Just a crazy day!!
Can't wait for this transfer!! Transfers are
always a hard adjustment, but they always turn out to be the best thing ever so
I'm pumped. :)) Thanks for everything y'all do!! Have an amazing week! Love
you!!!
Sister Goss
