Hola hola!
Boy oh boy how fun this week has been!! We are officially released from isolation in our apartment! YAY!!! :) Here's a run down of my week:
First off, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for all the birthday wishes on Tuesday!! Y'all are the nicest and I felt so loved and remembered. It was honestly such an amazing day, even though we were quarantined in our apartment. :)) We listened to a lot of music, had studies, took pictures, ate traditional family birthday meals, etc. But the notes and the wishes I got definitely made it the best! Love you all SO much! <3 #21
On Thursday we got to go to institute after several weeks of being unable to attend! Because we can't meet inside our church buildings, we met in a church pavilion outside at night around a campfire and I was pretty much on cloud nine. Could it get any better than the smell and sound of the crackling wood, a hot chocolate in my hand, finally around friends again, and feeling the Spirit as we talk about the Book of Mormon? It's a toughie to beat, that's for sure. ;)
Our friend Lindsey came to institute and she loved it! Lindsey is someone we're teaching from Lake Elsinore and she is so amazing!! The principles of the gospel made so much sense to her and she loved the other members of the ward. I can't wait to get to know her better and keep teaching her; so far she absolutely loves the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith's story, and the concept of spiritual renewal and healing. Woohoo!!! It's true; those things are true and really did happen!! :))
Lastly the prophet spoke to all of us this week! On Friday he gave a short, sweet, and simple message to find a fast-acting, long-lasting remedy for so many problems we see in the world. If you haven't seen it yet, go watch it on ChurchofJesusChrist.org. It is so very inspiring and everyone we've shown it to - those who are members of the church and those who are not - love it! I'll give you a sneak peak: he talks about GRATITUDE. Especially with Thanksgiving this week, I am so grateful for the thousands of blessings God's given me. And I am seeing even from the past two days how healing gratitude can be; I feel happier, lighter, and more joyful by just counting my blessings instead of recounting my problems. Gratitude has power!
Speaking of which, I am grateful for each and every one of you and the impact you've had on my life! Thank you for being who you are and lighting the world up with your personality. Keep giving thanks, because God is good and He's always here to give you more. :) Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving and week! Love you!!! #givethanks
Love, Sister Goss
